ORPHANS Bead "orphans" are beads that didn't make the cut for sets or for jewelry. They are still ok but aren't perfect. Orphans are useful for people using beads in projects such as fiber, making purses, wall hangings, or just an interesting jewelry project. I use orphans to make zipper pulls and key chain dangles. Because of the high cost of buying the raw glass rods that are used in beads (about $35 to $40 a pound) I still have to charge for orphans but they are still a good deal. Imagination is the key to using orphans! I will show a few orphans here but tell me the colorway and I will show you via an e-mail what I might have available.
