BEAD SETS - GLASS LAMPWORK BEADS

SILVERWATER DISCS:  This set of handmade glass lampwork beads includes six (6) beads in the lentil shape which is so very comfortable.  It is aquamarine color with silver - that is the little specks you see.  Makes a great bracelet!    Silverwater Discs:  $30

BLUE HOLLOWS:  These three beads are hollow so even though they are large, they are very light.  They are translucent blue with traces of pinks, purples, green in the glass.  These have larger holes so can be directly thread through small sterling chains or silk ribbon necklaces.  Each bead is approximately 17-18 mm wide from hole to hole.  The holes are about 5 mm wide.   Blue Hollows (3):  $20

BLUE LABYRINTH SET:  This set has all kinds of potential.  There is a large labyrinth focal (40 mm x 25 mm) which has the labyrinth on it and there are eight beads in different shapes.  Labyrinths have a long history:

Prehistoric labyrinths are believed to have served as traps for malevolent spirits or as defined paths for ritual dances. In medieval times, the labyrinth symbolized a hard path to God with a clearly defined center (God) and one entrance (birth).

Labyrinths can be thought of as symbolic forms of pilgrimage; people can walk the path, ascending toward salvation or enlightenment. Many people could not afford to travel to holy sites and lands, so labyrinths and prayer substituted for such travel. Later the religious significance of labyrinths faded, and they served primarily for entertainment, though recently their spiritual aspect has seen a resurgence.

Many newly-made labyrinths exist today, in churches and parks. Labyrinths are used by modern mystics to help achieve a contemplative state. Walking among the turnings, one loses track of direction and of the outside world, and thus quiets his mind. The result is a relaxed mental attitude, free of internal dialog. This is a form of meditation. Many people believe that meditation has health benefits as well as spiritual benefits.

LABYRINTH SET:  $55

Salmon Discs:  This set consists of five discs in a salmon color with organic dots on the discs.  The discs are are about 14 mm wide and the shape is very comfortable to wear.  Salmon Disc set:  $25

Color mix:  Seven different beads in different shapes to make a very interesting necklace or bracelet.  I wear a necklace I made using beads such as these  (see above) all the time as they go with everything and look good with casual clothes.   Have fun with these beads!   Mix  $30

Southwest Flavored Set:  These are some beads that I love to make as they are so colorful--and you can see that I love color!  They always come out different -- no two alike!  The disc shape is really comfortable to wear because they lay flat against the skin.  Six discs included here, approximately 16 mm wide.  As noted, these shaped discs are very comfortable to wear. Southwest Flavored Set:  $40

Lavender denim squares:  Five squares of lavender lampwork glass with denim stripes.  Four squares about 18 x 16 mm  with the middle square about 20 x 20 mm.   These are also very comfortable beads to wear as they lay flat against the skin.  With the lavender and denim blue colors these beads go with lots of things!  Lavender  $35

Red Fiesta:  Five squares of red and pink floating in clear glass.  Squares are about 5/8 inch from hole to hole.    Included are two round beads, maybe for earrings?     Red Fiesta   $30

Blue Raku Set:  Deep blue lapis color round beads, five total.  They have a light sprinkling of Raku which adds some browns, greens and lavender interest.  Blue Raku Set:  $25

Matte Blue Discs:  This set consists of several variations of translucent blue glass in seven beads.  This is the very comfortable disc shape approximately 16 mm wide and is etched to provide that lovely matte finish.  Matte Blue Discs:  $35

RIVER OF JOY beads:  These beads are kind of cool with the silver and blue accents providing some "depth."  Actually photographs don't do these beads justice.  People always comment on how nice these look in person!  Blues and silvers over ivory base in round discs that will lay flat on your neck or arm.  Beads are about 18 mm from hole to hole.  Five lovely beads in set.     River of Joy set:     $35
